Mr. Mike Randle popular ocassional bass player in the Michael Shelley band and member of Baby Lemonade, has released an excellent an album called "My Music Loves You (Even If I Don't)" on Eggbert Records. You'll want to buy yourself a copy or two, because when God made Mike, he broke the mold (or sold it on EBay).

Laura Cantrell (who sings on Michaels latest two albums) has two wonderful albums out in the U.S. on the Diesel Only label, and in the U.K. on SHOESHINE. Do yourself a favor and pick up these amazing recordings.

Our pal Tsuyoshi from Japan runs a cool site all about Nick Lowe that just happens to have a page about Michael on it too!

A really good review of TOO MANY MOVIES in a web zine called POP CULTURE CORN.

Check out this recent interview with Michael on the SHOESHINE RECORDS site.

Here's an article titled "Some Of Shelley's Blues" from Cincinatti City Beat site.

Deke Dickerson is one of the all time greats. If he plays in your town, simply: go see him. He plays, he sings, he writes, he covers!

Meanwhile try to check out Media Matters before Election Day.

My ex-roommate, and old friend TORIN ALTER has just released a new album. We lived together in Hollywood for about a year in the late 1980's while he studied Philosophy and I waited tables at a Mexican restaurant. We were robbed (my guitar & bass - gone), I slept on the floor... but it was a fun year. Please check the album out.

The best ice creams are: Godiva Dark Chocolate, Edy's Dreammery Triple Butter Pecan, Dr. Mike's Chocolate and Hagen Das' Vanilla & Coffee. All Ben & Jerry's is awful.

My pal Frank Bango has an excellent album out called "The Unstudied Sea" and I like it very much.

I'm obsessed with this site.

I have a poison ivy rash on my arm. I was looking on the web for info & a cure and found THIS PAGE on which people have written some of their home remedies. Some of them are hysterical. I especially liked this one:

I don't recommend this to anyone at all, but what helps my poison ivy is to take a rough washcloth, soak it in pure, 100% clorox bleach, and proceed to rub it on the affected area(s) until it burns so bad that you want to scream bloody murder. Initially, it makes you writhe in pain, but later there's no itch, its dry within hours. This also works well for ringworm. Once again, I don't advise anyone to do this, in fact, make sure you don't. It will hurt like crazy and might have very bad effects on your skin. byebye ivy, though.

JOHN MILLER has a new solo album out that is really excellent. We have been listening to it quite a lot at my house lately.
